VAGANDO is a Chicago based World Music Dance band whose music is a powerful blend of Latin, Middle Eastern, and Global hits that infuses gypsy and afro-beat with a guitar-heavy, modern rock edge.  Ferris Hermes has a charismatic, sultry voice and style that tops off with hard hitting, shimmy inducing dumbek playing. Agustin Alvarez jams hard on the guitar! Tom Ogunibido on bass and vocals, Harley Figueroa on Keyboards and Alto Sax and Anthony Capers on drums bring it all together.  They have a high-energy Santana-esque Pop Rock sound. Acclaimed for their live performances all over Chicago, they have an international, cosmopolitan flair, that rocks and gets everybody dancing!  Their first CD is recorded and mastered, and will be pressed and released summer 2014.
