Tyler Keller Band

If Tyler Keller, Marty Kollmorgen, Bobby Loesch, and John Trendell weren’t all nerds as children, the Tyler Keller Band might have never existed. Coincidentally enough, these guys met in their Elementary school ‘gifted class’ in Naperville, IL. Although they didn’t realize it at the time, over 12 years later in 2009, their paths would cross again in Chicago and they would be playing music together.Tyler is the singer–songwriter of the band who has spent close to a decade of his life writing songs to make sense of the world. He’s been inspired by singer - songwriters such as Bob Dylan, Adam Duritz, and Jeff Tweedy. He started playing piano at the age of 10 and guitar at the age of 15, but if you ask him, his band mates own most of the musical talent.Marty is the Ying to Tyler’s Yang. Tyler is mellow and acoustic by nature, and Marty is high energy and electric. As the lead guitarist of the band, Marty’s strength lies in creative harmonies, improvisation, and face–melting guitar solos. Bobby absolutely kills it on the drums and is truly the life of the band. Bobby has mostly operated in the realm of hip-hop and punk, and his versatility and energy take this band to the next level. John Trendell is arguably one of the best guitarists to ever come out of Naperville, IL. He can be found jamming to Neil Young on the acoustic, ripping it to Red Hot Chili Peppers on the electric, or slapping the bass in the Tyler Keller Band. John’s vast musical experience has really made him the backbone and focus agent of this band. TKB has been playing live in Chicago for a couple years, and they are releasing their first studio EP on March 15, 2013.
