Dennis Carroll and The LoveBio:My dream as a child growing up in Poplar Grove, Illinois, was to play with the great musicians I heard from my Dad’s record collection.My dream now is to play my music and I present to you: The Love.When my heart first opened up to music, I was a child growing up in a farm town in the 70’s. The music I write is a mosaic of jazz, rock, folk, and blues. It’s a way back to the feeling I had as a child when I first heard music in nature. It’s the story of finding that child again.My dream to play my music wouldn’t be possible without my band.I’m very grateful for Lee Rothenberg, Joey Skoch and Ben Esposito because not only do I have Chicago’s best musicians playing my music; they are my best friends, too.Together, we are The Love.
