The Coop

Hailing from Chicago, IL, The Coop is a forward-thinking band on the rise in both the electronic and jamband worlds. Capturing the modern unification of organic and future sounds, The Coop consistently takes the listener on genre-bending aural adventures through the fusion of original electronic production and traditional instrumentation. With a core sound elementally driven by breakbeat, dub, and jazz, The Coop’s music offers an ebb and flow of tech-thriving layers interwoven with thoughtful live performance from the young quartet.

Indigo Sun

IndigoSun was born in the late summer of 2008, when a few good friends at Roosevelt University began to explore the possibilities of electronic music. We set up outside on a rare beautiful September night on the terrace of our building, and began to improvise around the skeleton of what would become "Welcome Home." After playing for about an hour and a half, we knew that we had found something that had to be pursued. Thus a band was forged, whose mission is to make music which combines deep melody and lyrical simplicity with intense rhythmic complexity, but which first has the ultimate purpose of groovin. With this goal in mind, we've set to work on creating original music which showcases our instrumental skills, carries real meaning, and creates a strong connection between the audience and us as performers. At times the music is reminiscent of (and is influenced by) groups like Lotus, STS9, and Big Gigantic, at others it brings the funk in a way The Meters and Medeski, Martin, and Wood could get down to. At the same time we are ultimately working to create an individual sound which inhabits its own world, apart from the above groups which have been influential to us.

Lake Shore Vibe

Hailing from Chicago, LSV get's its genuine sound from the north shores. Nothing is off limits, and attending one of our shows has been characterized like being taken on a magical ride through space and time. Original songwriting from a surplus of genre's and genius improvisational skills is what keeps the fans coming back for more. The bands intention is to expand consciousness through light, love, beauty, wisdom and most of all our music. Lake Shore Vibe formed in Aug. 2009 by Jim Hegarty, Carson Williams and Josh Kremer. Mike Mongoven and Dan Suwinski were later added, completing the lineup. Lake Shore Vibe then tailored their sound and began performing for audiences at venues and music festivals in the midwest.
