Not looking to fit into Chicago's current rock scene, Starbender is more interested in carving out their own niche. Starbender is a Chicago space rock quartet brought together by the idea of organically fusing melody with passion, creativity, soul, and grit. Vocalist/Guitarist, Andy Karns, Drummer, Brian David, Bassist, Tim Gaunter, and Guitarist/Keys, Samir Chabra, collectively form a sound reminiscent of everything from Brit-pop to 60's psychedelic rock to 90's alternative. Starbender's music tastefully touches on the entire spectrum of human emotion, while the lyrics entice the listener to think and relate.
