Brothers Robert and Davor palos named their Chicago-based band "ode" as a way to memorialize their Bosnian roots; the name is translated from Bosnian: "to leave". Life was given in Bosnia, but renewed in Chicago. Ode embraces American grit in their smoldering grooves and moody atmosphere while staying rooted in the deep earth of Balkan history. Propelled by the rhythm section of drummer Daniel crane, bassist Jonathan Kolar and rhythm guitarist Nikola Dokic, ode manifests a soaring spirit of love, loss, trial and triumph.
