Found Hounds
You'll find these Found Hounds right where bluegrass smacks into honky tonk, where brother harmony hits up a driving rhythm, where beer chases a shot of whiskey, and where a Southern sound roots itself in the finest Midwest soil. What began as a side project for four Chicago pickers from several bluegrass bands, took over as lead dog in 2015 with local festivals, shows and residencies.CASSIE LYNN BROOKS / BANJO, DOBRO, VOCALSPHIL HOFFMAN / BASS, VOCALSGREGORY MORLAND / MANDOLIN, VOCALSDAN SPIELMAN / GUITAR, VOCALS
Coyote Riot
Coyote Riot has its roots set deep in old folk and country/blue grass string sounds of the past and present. The twang of the rockabilly stile guitar sits nicely with the pluc of the bass and the chuck of the tenor banjo, while the harmonica and fiddle harmonize like crickets in heat. A recipe gaurenteed to have you hootin and hollerin with your foot-a-stompin.
Mad Bread
Mad Bread is a string band for the 21st century, playing a unique mixture of bluegrass, rock, folk and blues. The band blends traditional instruments with modern songwriting, creating innovative, genre-bending music that defies classification. At a concert, you'll hear them move effortlessly from boot-stompin' bluegrass jams, to psychedelic folk ballads, to Chicago-style blues-rock with stops everywhere in between.
