Reginald Chapman’s Pressure Fit

Pressure Fit is the post-rock inspired hip-hop jazz brainchild of Foxygen + No BS Brass low brass artist Reginald Chapman. A founding member of No BS Brass, Reggie has performed with either Foxygen or NO BS at some of the nation’s biggest music festivals including Lock’n, Outside Lands, Sasquatch, Forecastle and Panorama. Reggie is slated to have his debut album ‘Prototype’ released in early May on the prestigious Portland-based label Fresh Selects whose roster includes Iman Omari, Braxton Cook, Jon Bap and more. ‘Prototype’ was recorded over few months in 2017 in Reggie’s hometown of Richmond, Virginia and includes Richmond heavyweights Devonne Harris (Butcher Brown, recorded on Jack White’s upcoming record) and Corey Foneville (Butcher Brown, tours with Christian Scott and Nick Payton). For this tour, the band is rounded out with horn players, percussionists and a vocalist that have collectively performed with Macy Gray, Herbie Hancock, Al Green, Pearl Jam, Chance the Rapper, Gerald Clayton and many more, Reggie is excited to take his original compositions and inventive re-imaginations of classics on the road. Oozing with talent, these cats are guaranteed to get a crowd moving and grooving -- you can definitely feel something building at a Pressure Fit show.
