Mysteries of Life

Led by the husband-and-wife team of singer/guitarist Jake Smith and drummer Freda Love (formerly of the Blake Babies), the Evanston-based alternative pop band the Mysteries of Life debuted with the album "Keep a Secret” on RCA in 1996. Following a pair of indie label EPs, the Mysteries resurfaced with the full-length "Come Clean" on RCA in 1998. They later released several indie albums: "Distant Relative" (2001) and "Beginning To Move" (2006).
