Michael Nearpass Medium Ensemble

Michael Nearpass has been recognized by the DownBeat Student Music Awards and was a finalist for the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award. He has also served as a Ravinia Jazz Fellow at the Stean’s Music Institute. Michael’s writing experience ranges from jazz and pop genres to orchestral chamber groups. His Medium Ensemble seeks to combine these influences into an intricate collection of musical inventions.
