Leah Druzinsky

Leah Druzinsky, age twenty-two, has grown up with music in her soul. At age three her grandfather, the late Edward Druzinsky, principal harpist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, was impressed that she sang perfectly in tune. Her career as a singer started at age six when she auditioned for the prestigious Youth Choral Theater of Chicago (formerly Jubilate Children’s Choir). During her twelve years in the choir, the ensemble performed with (among others) the Joffery Ballet in Chicago and at the Kennedy Center, The Soul Children of Chicago, and the Muntu Dance Theater. As a member Leah toured Ireland, and she was a featured soloist in Spain, the Harris Theater and at the National Cathedral.Leah began writing original songs when she was in high school but did not perform them in public until later. Leah recorded a primarily acoustic demo album entitled “Put My Money On The Sun” in 2009, that features her accompanying herself on guitar and piano. In October of 2010 she released “How It’s Gonna Be,” a second album produced and engineered by Craig Williams of Dr. Caw Recording. The album features fantastic Chicago musicians including Alan Berliant, Jim Widlowski, John Rice, Steve Eisen, and more. While living in Denver for the past two years, she played at Cervante’s Otherside, Summit Music Hall, and Casselman’s. Leah has also played at well-known venues in New York City including Sullivan Hall and the infamous rock club, Bitter End. Druzinsky moved from Denver to Chicago in the summer of 2011 where began performing in venues including Martyrs’, Uncommon Ground, and Elbo Room. Her current band features two of the outstanding musicians that played on her recent album, Berliant and Widlowski.Leah studies privately with one of Chicago’s finest musicians, Cheryl Wilson, and is coached by legendary, Orbert Davis. Druzinsky continues to write music and perform in and around the Chicago area. Druzinsky's additional project, the band LaDiLaLa, has their songs featured on MTV hit TV series Snooki & JWoww, Jersey Shore and more.
