J.D.’s Revenge

 When your goal is to change the very fabric of a complexed genre like rock, “Rock Royalty” is the title you shoot for! Legendary music heroes like Jimi Hendrix, Alice in Chains, Prince, and Betty Davis, set stages all over the world for a rock band such as this. Inspired by the many cultural and social nuances of the movie, the band was named after the 1976 blaxploitation film, J.D.’s Revenge in 2011. With the precision of a brain surgeons hands, JDR’s sound encompasses elements of heavy rock, soul, pop and funk. At the helm of this revolution, we have founder, composer and lead guitar player, the one and only, Frankie Blaze. Lead vocalist and writing leading lady, Treneka Lenay. Adding the to this mix, the talented Allegra Dolores on supporting vocals and keys. We have Ced “Pastorfunkpleez’ Tate on bass lines, and the always in “Beast Mode,” Darin ‘D’ZEL’ Nicholson on the drum kit.  These six versatile musicians have been enthralling Chicago-land audiences with their dynamic, must-see live performances.  JD’s Revenge has had the honor of blazing the stages of awesome Chicago venues such as the hottest new Hyde Park concert venue, The Promontory, Mayne Stage, The Empty Bottle, Schubas, The MultiKuti and many more! “JDR” is a well oiled and ready Rock & Rhythm machine! The HIGHLY anticipated debut album, self-titled, JD’s REVENGE v1.0 is set to be the soundtrack to 2015 and beyond! It’s time to rock!
