 The music of Frank Zappa & More performed by Ike Willis & Marcus Rezak direct after Umphrey's McGee at The Showbox SoDoPerformed and led by Zappa Guitarist Ike Willis and guitarist Marcus Rezak. The band also features drummer Matt Kellen (Formerly of Mungion), Dave Nolden (Brothers Rage) & keyboardist Scott Hannay (Mr. F).We aim for a diverse catalog of Zappa compositions, improvised jams, and a different experience for fans each show. The band will also be performing selections from Marcus' inaugural original album, Gateway to the Galaxy which features Joel Cummins & Kris Myers of Umphrey's McGee.Ike Willis, who toured with Frank Zappa from 1978 through 1988, is a legendary guitar and vocalist from Saint Louis, Missouri. He was featured as "Joe" in the Triple LP, Joe's Garage and has continued the Zappa legacy throughout the years by performing with Project Object, Pojama People, Zappatika and more.Marcus Rezak is a recording artist, touring musician, session guitarist, and music theorist from Chicago, IL. As a lead guitarist, Marcus carves out a distinguished style in the world of Guitar with several well-known cutting edge groups including Katharsis, Shred is Dead, FrankenZaps Monster, Digital Tape Machine, Stratosphere All-Stars, and as artist at large. He has performed at some of the most elite music festivals across the globe in various genres. Known as a master of jazz improvisation and the art of the sit-in, Marcus is a frequent call among bands and musicians carving out his unique niche in the performance world. Having a commanding stage presence, Marcus takes the euphoric freedom of live music and directs its path into a unique approach, as if every jam is a live recording session. By keeping exceptionally comprehensive mental notes on what works, what doesn't, and how to improve is what has led Marcus to respect in the music world and to such integral heights.
