Driftwood

Driftwood is a shapeshifting folk rock/americana act from upstate New York who continue to break new ground with their dynamic, high-energy and reflective live performances. Their latest studio album, the transformative December Last Call (2024), finds the group coming home. Sonically, the band’s sixth album looks confidently to the future, experimenting with new sounds while staying true to the bluegrass roots that built them. Across the album’s nine tracks, the band often leans into hard-rocking electric guitars and driving percussion which are also present during their live shows. Showcasing 3 incredibly strong, distinct songwriters and featuring both female and male musicians and vocalists, Driftwood is converting new fans at a rapid rate. The band states that “Driftwood is basically a beautiful friendship that happens to play music together,” and those bonds are evident both in the studio and on stage.
