Windy City rockers FIST TO THE SKY are a four piece melodic metal band. They pride themselves on their ability to fuse great melodies into their heavy sound. The young quartet formed in the fall of 2008. This is not your ordinary metal band; the lineup is slightly unusual to most. Lead vocals are fronted by Mick, the bass player, and the dueling guitarists’ and drummer handle back-up vocals. The band was founded by brothers Flipp, Mick and cousin Hollywood. Trying to create the perfect mix, they acquired the addition of their current drummer JD.“Nothing to lose, something to prove, it’s the fuel to the fire that is this band.” says Flipp.In 2009 the band quickly focused on writing material for their self-recorded album "Light the World Up.” Everything they have learned, mastered, and musically created was put together on this nine song recording. "Light the World Up” was released in May of 2010 and was recorded with a previous drummer.Talent, dedication and desire have this band creating a buzz. They currently hold endorsements with Beaver Bottoms and TRX Cymbals. The "Down Into Hell - Single" was recorded at Mercenary Digital Studios in Zion, IL with mixer and producer Scott Creekmore (Dirge Within, Thyateira, I Killed Everyone)
