Fat Time

As a Chicago-based soul and funk band, Fat Time was a mainstay of the local scene from its inception in 1996 until 2003. During its existence, Fat Time released two full-length albums, Blue Window and Pure, that established its unique sound: deep grooves complemented by elements of Latin, neosoul, and rock. For one night only, the lineup that recorded the Pure album will reunite in a celebration of their music, the Chicago scene, and the people who came along for the ride. All of the band's musicians--Derek Henderson, drums; Eric Sittner, bass; Andy Cutting, percussion; Delby Littlejohn, keyboards; Scott Leff, guitar and vocals; and Marqueal Jordan, sax and vocals--have stayed active in the ensuing years, with Jordan earning the reputation (thanks in part to stints in national and local acts, including Tributosaurus) as one of the most electrifying performers in the city. These elements and an unbeatable bill featuring DJ INC and headliner Bumpus make this a night not to be missed.
