Chris Corsale Band

Chris's move to center stage comes after 15 years working as a sideman in Chicago bands like The Right Now and 56 Hope Road. After digging into his love of songwriting, Chris began giving a few of his favorite songs the acoustic treatment at his many solo shows - but now he and his band take them to new heights. A rock-n-roll kid addicted to soul music, Chris blends heavy backup vocals with a rock-band framework and comes out with heartfelt songs that skew toward Elvis Costello or Sly & The Family Stone. The band behind him (Greg Nergaard, Anne Hamilton-Katzfey, Bob Garrett, and Andrea Bunch), bring their own wealth of talent and experience to each song, knowing innately just how rough or delicate to be, and the result is stirring. Chris has been playing lead and rhythm guitar on the Chicago music scene since the late 90s with acts like The Right Now, 56 Hope Road, and many others. He's toured much of the US and played nearly 2,000 shows, opening for acts like George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic, Fitz & The Tantrums, Bernie Worrell, Soulive, and others.
