 Chicago Funk Mafia is a funk band and we're committed to getting down, but we’ve got some tricks up our sleeves and you’ll hear us weave in and out of many styles. Haters be warned, Our ally is the Funk, and a powerful ally it is. Chicago Funk Mafia is the local chapter of Funk Mafia International, an organization dedicated to the integrity and proliferation of funky music. Its members have worn many hats throughout their musical careers and this band is the culmination of our collective knowledge and influence. We do our best to keep things sexy. Funk is all about sex. Not the sort of sexy you hear in jazz though. Jazz is Clark Kent, Funk is Superman. It makes you put on sunglasses rip your shirt off and dance.
