Angel Colón Band

 The Angel Colon Band is a Chicago-based trio performing original music with roots in Rock, Blues and Soul. The band’s leader, songwriter, singer, guitarist and namesake, Angel Colon, studied with Fareed Haque at Northern Illinois University for two years before becoming a full-time gigging and session guitarist performing with a great variety of local and nationally touring acts.  With The ACB, Angel displays his talents as a songwriter, composer and arranger as well as his prowess on guitar. In 2017, The Angel Colon Band released their debut album, Don’t Blame Love. A collection of 9 soulful, poetic songs exploring the trials of maintaining the human spirit. A new release is scheduled for the Spring of 2019.  The trio is made complete with Luis Fuentes on bass and vocals as well as Matthew Baumann on drums. Both are well-seasoned musicians by their own right. And, since each have performed with Angel in other projects, the chemistry within the trio is undeniable. The ACB takes the stage with authority grabbing the audience with well-crafted songs and solid musicianship.
