Deep Fayed

Deep Fayed is the brainchild of Chicago guitarist and songwriter, George Wundsam. The groove-based, alternative vibe that defines Deep Fayed is in constant evolution while sticking to its roots in funk, jazz and hip-hop music with a progressive flare. The fusion of eclectic influences and inventive songwriting gives Deep Fayed a sound that is unlike anything else. ‘Fayed released their debut, self-titled EP in 2013 and their first album "Full Spectrum Of" in 2017. The single “Places We Don’t Go” premiered at Word Is Bond ahead of the LP’s release.

Dassit

Jazzy Hip-Hop band Dassit has been on the forefront of the live-band Hip-Hop scene in Chicago for several years. Friday December 14th at Martyrs' will be their official album release show of their debut album "What A Year", appropriately timed to be released in early December.The five-piece band demonstrates that head-bobbing Hip-Hop and lush, improvisatory jazz can co-exist effortlessly. Led by saxophonist Simon Dufour and rapper Keith Harris, the band has a big sound with keys, bass, and drums rounding it out. The core band will also be joined by guest singers, rappers, and instrumentalist for the album release show. Fans of Nas and Miles Davis alike will find something to cherish in Dassit’s music.
