El Mañana

El Mañana is a Mexican/American band formed in Mexico City in 2009. The band consists of Fernando de Buen (guitar/vocals), Ben Geissel (drums), and Charlie Manion (bass guitar). El Mañana has released two albums (El Mañana and Muertos) with Mexico City labels Discos Cuchillo and Fanclub Records. After a 5-year hiatus, the band reformed in Chicago.

Snake Season

Snake Season is a Chicago indie folk/punk/pop band that unexpectedly manages to meld disparate rock, beach, and metal influences into concise, engaging, pop melodies. Lead singer Ryka Ohana's ukulele provides a gentle rhythmic pulse, while bassist Taylor Cook, formerly of Iowa City punk band Johnny Has the Keys, brings, at times, a hint of foreboding to his low-end work. Drummer Ethan Joseph, of post-punk band The Joseph Twins, injects a virtuosic energy into the songs which guitarist Peter Neumer, former member of Chicago alt-rock band Menacerno, complements with tasteful, subtle fretwork.

Caroline Lucius

Caroline Lucius is an emerging singer-songwriter born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Her unique narrative style and intuitive lyricism engages her audiences as she invites them along an insightful, honest set. Amidst pop-rock melodies, her lyrics evoke a sense of nostalgia in even the least sentimental. Described as a “timeless wonderment” by her close friends, her midwestern roots and revelatory truth-telling foster connection to her audience as they cultivate a better connection to themselves. Her style has been compared to the likes of Fiona Apple and Regina Spektor, while her co-writing brother's (Schaeffer Lucius) guitar and musical composition derives from influences such as The Smiths and The Beatles.
