Hard Promises

 Hard Promises covers the music of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Led by John Mead and made up of crack Chicago musicians based at the Old Town School of Folk Music, Hard Promises (formerly called A Thing About You) has been playing these songs at Chicago venues for several years. They focus mostly on Petty's vintage albums of the 70s and the Wildflowers material, but play rockers, ballads, and even Heartbreaker- favorite covers from throughout Petty's long career.
