 Next Planet is the musical brainchild of songwriter, musician and native Chicagoan, Scott Fischer. A thrilling ride as both spectator and participant, Next Planet’s music inspires with big melodies and ambitious composition, taking you on a wildly impassioned journey. With seven studio albums under his belt and hundreds of live shows, Fischer never stops pushing boundaries with his ambition and talent. Rising from the ashes of Fischer’s Flicker (and previous incantations: Deja Voo Doo, PowderHouse, Babaganoo), Next Planet features members and long-time musical contributors Tim Gavin (drums, vocals), Andy Sviatko (bass), Rick Lyons (guitar, vocals) and Scott Fischer (keys, lead vocals). Previous projects had organically positioned Fischer in the director’s seat as both bandleader and composer. While he is still the primary songwriter, Next Planet conducts itself with a new, more democratic approach.
