 The Bach and Beethoven Ensemble (BBE) brings artists from different traditions together to collaborate on cross-genre, multidisciplinary projects. Like Bach, we strive for the ideal. Like Beethoven, we push boundaries. We combine tradition and innovation: something old, something new.  The BBE was formed in 2009 by a cohort of young musicians, new to Chicago and eager for performance opportunities in a saturated music market. They presented 3-5 traditional “early music” concerts a year until 2013, when the group began the process of reorganizing as a nonprofit.
