Heisenberg Uncertainty Players

Heisenberg Uncertainty Players (HUP) is a 17-piece Chicago-area big band, playing only original compositions and arrangements from members of the group. Formed in 2011, HUP has been featured around the Chicago area in venues like The Jazz Showcase, Martyrs’, Fitzgerald’s Night Club, The Logan Center for the Arts, Reggie’s, and WGN-TV. Their music is very diverse, ranging from an eclectic array of original compositions to arrangements of songs by Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, 50 Cent, and Japanese folk artists. Recent projects for HUP include a collaboration with hip-hop collective Hitmakuzz Productions, and We Tear Down Our Coliseums, a nine-movement multimedia suite depicting baseball stadiums that no longer stand.
