Family Groove Company

Family Groove Company integrates the groove sensibility developed by funk/jazz crossover artists like Herbie Hancock and Medeski, Martin, and Wood, with thoughtful, tight songwriting that takes cues from the likes of Steely Dan and the Beatles. The result? An infectious, fresh sound the band calls "groove informed jazz/rock." With a sound defined by rich analog keyboards, tight crunchy guitar, and a pocket-based rhythm section, FGC brings a fresh sound that bends genres and dares the listener not to dance. The band got its start in Los Angeles, where the four members met in music school, and then planted its roots in Chicago in late 2002. In the span of their career, FGC has played close to 1000 shows from coast to coast, logging stage time in more than 350 venues in 34 states. Notable performances include 16 straight years at Summer Camp Festival in Illinois, rocking large Chicago stages like the Riviera Theater and Vic Theatre, and playing alongside heavyweights like Victor Wooten, moe., and Umphrey’s McGee. The band’s discography includes four full length albums, with a much-anticipated fifth album currently in the works.

Fresh Hops

Fresh Hops is a 5 piece original jam band from Northwest Indiana. The band formed in March, 2008 as a musical improvisational outlet among friends. Fresh Hops has evolved into a captivating, high energy live act. The band has been a part of numerous line ups and instrument inclusion which has led to an eclectic mix of sounds and atmospheres. As writers and performers, Fresh Hops constantly blurs the lines between genres and style, often during the course of a single song. That "anything goes" attitude has translated to a stage show that remains fresh and fun from show to show. The realization that jazz, classic soul, bluegrass, classical, metal and progressive jam rock can all shake hands and play nice has guided us to create remarkable tunes from an ever-expanding palette.

Arbor Creek

Arbor creek is a five-piece progressive psychedelic blues rock band from Joliet, IL. They have been made up of the current line-up for three years now, and have released one EP, Listen (2016), and one full-length LP, Arbor Creek (2018). The sound of the band is one that takes many forms and calls upon many different influences. With three years of shows under their belts, the band has acquired a very tight stage presence and ever-evolving live performance.  The influences of the band come from all over the world and all over time. As near to home as Chicago’s Blues to as far abroad as the folk musics of Europe. Often times, the music can be comparable to ‘60s and ‘70s bands like Led Zeppelin, The Allman Brothers or Pink Floyd. Other times, elements of newer groups such as My Morning Jacket, Alabama Shakes, White Denim, Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Marcus King Band and Gov’t Mule all can be heard. Dueling electric guitars, soulful vocals, intricate keyboards and mandolin, tight and driving bass and ferocious drums all help to define Arbor Creek’s unique sound.
