 The Drumming All Stars COMBO TICKET: featuring Dennis Chambers, Steve Smith, Chad Wackerman, and Gergo Borlai.  Also featuring Janek Gwizdala, Vinny Valentino, Chrissi Poland, and Stu Mindeman.  The Drumming All Stars are back in Chicago and ONLY at Martyrs’ for these ALL AGES shows! The Combo Ticket gets you into both shows at a reduced price!  Concert 1: August 9- Drumming legend Chad Wackerman is best known for the 27 albums he recorded with Frank Zappa – not to mention his work with Allan Holdsworth, Andy Summers, James Taylor, and many more!  Gergo Borlai has taken the drumming world by storm with his powerful and innovative playing! Gergo regularly records/tours with Scott Kinsey, Hadrien Feraud, Al DiMeola, Vernon Reid, Mohini Dey, and many others! Concert 2: August 13- Drumming legend Dennis Chambers is one of the most iconic players of all time. He is best known for his work with John McLaughlin, Santana, Mike Stern, Parliament/Funkadelic, and many more.  Legend Steve Smith is the current and longtime drummer for the iconic rock band Journey. His jazz fusion group, Vital Information, is in its 36th year touring the world. Steve is also known for his work with Steps Ahead, Jean-Luc Ponty, Ahmad Jamal, Zakir Hussain, and more!  At both shows, the drummers will play a variety of tunes with an all-star band featuring bassist Janek Gwizdala (Pat Metheny/Mike Stern), guitarist Vinny Valentino (George Benson/Vital Information), singer Chrissi Poland (Dave Weckl/Moby), and a Chicago native - keyboardist Stu Mindeman (Kurt Elling).  You can expect a grand finale with both drummers at the end of both of these shows!
